Abstract: "A STUDY TO ASSESS THE KNOWLEDGE REGARDING KANGAROO MOTHER CARE AMONG THIRD YEAR BSC NURSING STUDENTS AT SMT. NAGARATHANAMMA COLLEGE OF NURSING, BENGALURU.” OBJECTIVES: • To assess the level of knowledge regarding Kangaroo Mother Care among third year BSc Nursing students at Smt. Nagarathanamma College of Nursing, Bengaluru. • To find out the association between knowledge scores with selected demographic variables at Smt. Nagarathnamma College of Nursing, Bengaluru. METHOD: Descriptive approach was used to collect data from 40 subjects selected by convenient sampling technique through non probability sampling approach consisting 2 section. Section A-Demographic variables consisting 3 items Section B-Structured questionnaire for assessing knowledge level consisting 30 items. RESULT: The majority of respondents had moderate knowledge on Kangaroo Mother Care. Overall mean percentage of knowledge score is 53.03%. CONCLUSION: The present study was attempted to assess knowledge regarding Kangaroo Mother Care. The study finding showed that the students had moderate knowledge regarding Kangaroo Mother Care.
