dc.description.abstract“A STUDY TO ASSESS THE KNOWLEDGE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS REGARDING ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER IN SELECTED PRIMARY SCHOOL AT BANGALORE” BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity. It affects individuals across the lifespan, often beginning in childhood and continuing into adulthood. ADHD affects Approximately 5 to 7 percentage the worldwide with varying rates based on and diagnostic practice. The prevalence among adult is estimated to be around 2 to 5 percentage the disorder impact multiple areas of functioning including academic achievements occupational performance and social relationship. Attention deficit hyperactivity syndrome ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterised by persistent inattention hyperactivity and impulsivity the diagnosis Of ADHD is based on criteria outlined in the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorder 5th edition (DSM-5). to be diagnosed with ADHD This study seeks to investigate the academic difficulties faced by students with ADHD and assess the effectiveness of interventions aimed at supporting their learning by identifying specific challenges and effective strategies, the research will contribute to development of inclusive educational practise that enhance the academic success and social well being of students with ADHD.en_US
