Abstract: | The role of architecture is crucial in designing housing systems for animal production that meet the spatial and behavioral needs of animals. To achieve this, it's important to have an understanding of how animals behave during routine activities such as drinking, feeding, lying, rising, and walking. Keeping animals confined can modify their behavior and negatively impact their health and comfort. Therefore, architects must consider animal psychology and design facilities that reduce stress on both the animals and the caretakers. This can lead to better health, comfort, and productivity for the animals. Facilities should be appropriate for the species, anticipated number of animals, and expected length of stay to ensure the physical and psychological well-being of the animals |
