Abstract: | Museum is an institution which performs many functions such as collection, preservation, exhibition and interpretation of natural as well as cultural objects. the ethnic heritage of our country has been under constant threats by natural and artificial hazards, urbanization, industrialization, interference of western culture etc.. India being a land of heritage has to have such arts, culture and history amongst to freedom fighters. tribes are one type of society where they have their own culture, art and traditions. Government of India has now come up with a plan in which every state will have a tribal museum which will showcasing about the culture of that state. Tribal people are called ‘Adivasi’. Adivasi is the term used for the original tribal people of India.50 different tribal groups are found in India. Though tribal people are uneducated their knowledge towards the culture, lifestyle, health and other things is tremendous. Though the tribal people knowledge is vague, much written information is not there about their culture, lifestyle etc.… it can be preserved by hearing to the stories told by the present tribes as historic period of evolution |
