dc.description.abstractStroke is a major cause for the neurological admission in hospital allover the world. Stroke occurs when a part ofthe brain is deprived of oxygen and patients will have deficits corresponding to that area of brain.The study was conducted in Neuro Medical ward, Neuro Medical ICU, Neuro surgical ward and Neuro surgical ICU of PEOPLE TREE HOSPITAL, Bengaluru-22, Karnataka. A convenient sampling technique was used for selecting the sample. The sample size was 50 Neuro Nurses. The investigator used a standardized questionnaire regarding risk factors and warning signs ofstroke. The major findings ofthe study were Neuro Nurses more knowledge ofstroke risk factors than warning signs.en_US
