Reimagining Affordable Housing in Mysore.

Abstract

Aim: The aim is to create flexible housing for the stressed communities and reviving their abandoned creative spirits Objective:  To create adaptable spaces for their everyday work -live-culture.  Identifying the challenges faced by the stressed communities.  To create awareness about the lost art form or culture.  To communicate lost skills by creating urban markets and promotions.  To design public and private spaces that help build their creativity Scope:  To design a conducive atmosphere where there is enhancement of artistic.  The activity spaces created would help to learn and promote artistry skills along with present employment necessities Limitations:  Scope the houses created would fall into the buffer of affordability  the housing layouts created here would be to the context of the site chosen  the scale of the project would limit to a model layout of 75 - 100 housing units
