dc.description.abstractAIM To create a commercial center for Tumkur city which holds commercial, retail, cultural hub & recreational space which homes several social activities. To incorporate the demands of the present demographics of the city, which creates an infrastructural development to serve the need of creating a shopping mall and also an office tower which creates possible trades with present industries and future IT developments. To develop a project which serves the purpose of urbanizing Tumkur city under smart city programme proposed by central government OBJECTIVES . To create an iconic image and a landmark for the city by designing a futuristic multi purpose urban lifestyle development for Tumkur city Being first retail/shopping mall and an initiative towards future development of city as smart city project by building an office tower and bringing together an commercial , retail , recreational spaces. The design of office tower building being an initiative towards seeking attention of pvt.companies and IT companies by creating working space.  To provide shopping center, entertainment zone and recreational space for people who live in Tumkur district. . To provide an entertainment zone and branching out the cities first PVR cinema theatres. . Creating job opportunity by building an office tower which homes a several IT companies  Most importantly designing the complex as an eco-friendly and making it an sustainable design, and creating awareness about green built spaces in architecture SCOPE AND LIMITATION To study the inter-relationship of spaces and challenges regarding the design and restrictions of spaces with respect to public segments. To study and explore the main characteristics of commercial development and to incorporate into design. To study and understand relative necessities of design to serve its purpose with respect to the context of urbanizing Tumkur city. To design and evolve future proof project in urban context. To create a design which integrates all the functional spaces such as commercial, recreational, entertainment, and cultural aspects.en_US
