dc.description.abstract | This thesis focuses on creating architecture that enhances healing by acting as a medium between the built space and mother nature. Achieving this will come in stages of therapy involving nature and its elements itself as a medicine. However, because the focus is on people with unmanageable lives; long term treatment courses; and as the course of treatment is nature therapy; the design is driven by the love for nature—Biophilia. Biophilic design—design that effectively eliminates stress and anxiety from the built environment—is achieved by maintaining thoughtful connections with nature. This thesis is intended to help all individuals find a better way of life through enlightenment, transcendence, and a personal relationship with nature during their healing period. It is especially designed for those who are sick and tired of being sick and tired, and who don’t know what they want but feel the need to connect with nature and attain relaxation. | en_US |
