Abstract: Reproductive health is a universal concern, but is of special importance for girls particularly during reproductive years. Majority of girls still do not have access to information and education on sexuality, reproduction and reproductive health and rights, nor do they have access to preventive and curative service. Thus, in order to lead healthy, responsible and fulfilling lives, and protect themselves from reproductive health problems, young people need to be knowledgeable about themselves and the people they related to and need sound information about the physical, psychological and social changes that take place child hood and adolescence. “A study to assess the health status and the effectiveness of awareness programme on reproductive health among adolescent girls of selected PU colleges at Bangalore” was undertaken by MS. SHAHIDA BANO, in partial fulfillment of the requirement for the Degree of Master of science in Nursing under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
